Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said yesterday that Iran spared no effort to establish peace, stability and tranquility in the region.Addressing a local seminar in the city of Qom, he said that Iran does not favor aggressive strategy and is not interested in creating tension in the region. Which is all very well but there has been no evidence that Iran has taken on the "peacemaker" responsibilities that go hand in hand with being a Mid-East superpower.
