U.S. vs. Iran: Cold War, Too

Lots of stories about the $20 billion dollar arms deal between the US and the Gulf states, aimed, according to the DoD, at creating "the overarching architecture that we believe we are going to need . . . to deal with the changing strategic threat from Iran and other forces," including a good Washington Post article on the new Cold War thinking that lies behind this move.
